Worms Standing On Dots, more commonly known as WSOD (its acronym), is a scheme similar to Bow and Arrows or Mine Madness.

The original map has standard size (1920x696) and 32 dots: 14 on the left side, 18 on the right side. There is a gap in the middle of the sides of the .BIT map. Worms are placed randomly on the map along with the 6 instant mines. There are no rules, the ammunition is very scarce and the worms have infinite health, so they can only be killed by plopping them. Infinite Low Gravity and Parachute help to navigate through both sides of the map. A new weapon is enabled each turn until you have nothing but a lousy infinite Handgun left (with 7 turns of delay).

The limited weapons are always with a single (x1) ammo, they are: Grenade (no delay), Cluster Bomb (1 turn of delay), Mortar (2 turns of delay), Baseball Bat (3 turns of delay), Select Worm (3 turns of delay), Uzi (4 turns of delay), Sheep Launcher (5 turns of delay), and MB Bomb (6 turns of delay).

Players have 30 seconds of turn time and the Sudden Death irrelevant (it doesn't change the gameplay in anything). There are no crates in this scheme.

Tactics

  • Trying to kill 2 or more enemy worms in one turn while avoiding killing allied worms is always good. This requires precise aiming with the weapons.

Before this scheme

Besides the scheme sharing similarities with BnA and MM, it has the unlocking weapons mechanic (based on the delays) of schemes like Clockworm Orange.
