The only situation that editing an intrinsic scheme will not remove the utilities and super weapons while in-game is when only the 6 small icons below the drop-down menu (turn time, round time, number of wins, worm rotation/selection, worms health, placement) are clicked. If these settings be edited this way, the intrinsic scheme name will receive a " * " on the right side of the file name, and will preserve the weapons and utilities while using the new settings.

(Up to Schemes)

Intrinsic schemes, also called Default schemes or Standard schemes, are conventional gameplay schemes (usually played on randomly-generated maps and without rules) that came with the games (they were created by the Team17 developers of the games).

In WA and WWP, when a scheme file has in the beginning of its name "{{01-13}}" the game will ignore all the settings contained in the .wsc file and will not load that scheme file, instead, the scheme will read the number in the brackets and will load its corresponding scheme. For example, you download Hysteria scheme and rename the .wsc file to {{02}}. The game will display the scheme as "[ Intermediate ]" on the drop-down menu and if you select it, you will play the standard Intermediate version of the game, with Low Gravity, x3 Select Worms, x1 Jet Pack with 2 turns of delay. The .wsc file stored on your Schemes folder will still contain the Hysteria settings.

If an intrinsic scheme is loaded on the drop-down menu and a player decides to change any setting of it in the weapon options or game options, the name of the scheme will now be titled "[ User defined ]" and the game will read the exact .wsc file settings and will not load the real intrinsic scheme. This will usually make Utilities and Super Weapons settings disappear when the game begin. This has to do with the older versions of the game and the first version of the .wsc scheme file that was incapable of modifying the ammo and the delay of utilities and super weapons. In the most recent versions of the game and .wsc scheme file, it's possible to change the ammo and the delay of super weapons and utilities, so if you want to modify an intrinsic scheme, be sure to know all the settings for the utilities and super weapons available while in-game and include all these settings when you change the scheme file. If you play an intrinsic scheme the way the game loads it and extract the scheme file from the replay, it will loose the settings for the utilities and super weapons (these settings will have to be included manually if you want to keep them in the game using that scheme file).
