Quidditch Worms Edition (or simply Quidditch) is a wormy adaptation scheme based on the fictional notable sport from the Harry Potter series: Quidditch. The original map has 7 brooms on each side (it is simetrical like Fort maps) with colored lines below them. There are 6 brooms of the red color + one broom of the blue color on one side; and 6 brooms of the blue color + one of the red color on the other side. In total each player has 7 brooms, one for each worm. There are two goals, one on each side (a big gap in the middle of the blue walls/lines at the right and left edges).
Note: the original Quidditch from the Harry Potter series is more complex (for example, it has three Chasers, two Beaters, the Keeper, and the Seeker; furthermore other scoring mechanisms), but since WA is turn based and limited, the author probably decided to simplify it. For some reason the original map doesn't feature the remarkable three ring-shaped goals of different heights on each side.
Rules
- Teleport on the correct brooms, depending on your team colour (red or blue).
- You must use the grenade.
- In the given time (10 minutes by default, but you can change round time to a value between 3 and 12 minutes), you have to score the most number of goals as possible (the winner is who has the better score).
- For each goal, you win 10 points. For the worm in front of his goal, each goal makes you win 20 points.
History
The original map + scheme was released by the author, LeTotalKiller (a.k.a. LTK), on WMDB on 26th January 2011. However, on the map it is written that the scheme and the map were created on "10/08/2010".
