Not to be confused with the old Mineball scheme which its origins are uncertain, but might be from WWP.

Peti's Mineball is essencially a Golf gameplay scheme (so it's a variant of the original, being a racing-like scheme), using mines placed by the players instead of grenades. These mines are hit by Baseball Bat. The scheme has 25 seconds of turn time and the following RubberWorm features: /sdet, /ldet, /antisink and /fdpt. So, multiple tries in a turn are available.

Goal: to launch the mine from the clearly numbered into the also cleary numbered holes. The winner is the player who manages to clear all holes first.

Rules

Complete all checkpoints.

  1. Place the mine.
  2. Hit it with the baseball bat.
  3. Make sure the mine ends up in the hole.

Multiple tries are allowed, but only one at a time (with one baseball bat hit, in other words); placing and shooting multiple mines are only allowed after at least 3 turns of trying (the mine’s blast radius and damage is minimal). LG may also be used. The rope is for moving between the checkpoints. It’s allowed to advance to the next one in the same turn as finishing a checkpoint. It’s pretty hard to commit a cow here, but the penalty is 1 skipped turn.

Variations

sbs made his own version of the scheme to be played in WA v3.8. It was released on this map on 27th July 2023.

History

The scheme was created by Peti probably in 2009, since it was present in the first edition of the Worms Scheme Contest in which it received fifth place, scoring 67.8 points. It was later submitted to WMDB on 29th December 2010.

Mineball

There is an old scheme with .BIT maps released by some players called Mineball, that is about dropping mines, then hitting them with the baseball bat into enemies. The origins of mineball is yet unknown, but it is probably from WWP, due to the Wormpot called "Using a weapon doesn't end your turn mode" that allowed players to drop multiple mines in the same turn and then hit them with baseball bat to make a very powerful explosion with the intersected mines at enemy worms.

Baseball Race

Baseball Race was released in 2009 by xDNCxGhost64x and also consists on playing Golf with Baseball Bat.
