Kaos
From Worms Knowledge Base
Kaos is a RubberWorm scheme with shot doesn't end turn, loss of control doesn't end turn, craterate(7), cratelimit(200) and fire doesn't pause timer features, where players start only with bungee and worm select. The goal is to collect as many crates as possible and "smash" the opponent in the limited turn time. Scheme has turned on Stockpiling by default, so weapons and utilties pass to next round. Craterate may be raised for faster gameplay. Best played on random island with 8 worms per player.

Tips and tactics
- A common tactic is to surrender when you have only one worm left that cannot have access to crates while the opponent can get many crates. Without surrendering, next round the enemy would have enormous advantage from previous round, since the weapons collected are kept each new round.
- In Kaos, it's possible to fire many arrows very fast. This allows players to do the Arrows-minigun trick: a worm can be damaged 2 or more times by the arrows in fractions of second, launching it further than usual.
- In Kaos, it's possible to make multiple grenades explode at the same time. If timed well, the grenades can launch a worm very, very far.
Different gameplay styles
The way people play Kaos changed through time. These different gameplay styles are reunited below.
Eras
According to Dream, currently there are 3 main eras. These eras don't mean people stopped playing older versions or other variations.

After the release of v3.8 and its Extended Scheme Options, "Kaos Pro" was updated with the new features and since it now doesn't require anymore the instalation of wkRubberWorm to play, it was played online more often again. This version stripped off many strong super weapons, teleport and limited probabilities of certain stronger weapons (regular weapons are more used now). This version is being played since 2021.
Custom PNG maps
Kaos is also played on custom specially designed PNG maps made by the players.

History
Originally named Kaos Normal, the scheme was created by MrKaos in the middle of 2009, being highly RubberWorm influenced (along with gravity modifications, sticky / bouncy mode, etc). Shortly after creation, the development of the scheme took a more competitive route, by the hands of DreamTrance, in early 2010. In 2011, a community called Kaos fans (Kf) was created on TUS. Some versions of Kaos were created for Project X and its exclusive custom weapons.
Competitive events
Kaos received tournaments hosted on TUS from 2011 to 2012 and cups from 2011 to 2017. On WO, Kaos was featured in all years from 2010 to 2016.
The competitive-oriented versions by Dream received some events in 2010-2011, 2014-2015 and since 2021 there's a dedicated Discord server to the official Kaos League. "Kaos Pro" was selected to be the official TUS Free League Kaos scheme, being the first and only RubberWorm scheme to appear among the main TUS leagues.
