(Up to Weapons)
Surrender | |
---|---|
Type: | White Flag |
Keyboard selection: | F12 (x2) F10 (x2) |
Standard effects: | Player's team gives up |
Present in: | Worms, Worms DC, Worms 2, W:A, WWP |
Activating this weapon forfeits the player's control over the active team. In W2, WA and WWP, surrendered worms wave white flags and lose their name and team labels.
A player's teams will automatically surrender in case of a network problem.
Tips and tactics
- Selecting Surrender can be used as a form of communication, expressing your feelings about a frustrating situation as a joke or seriously showing that you are giving up something.
- In schemes such as Kaos a common tactic is to surrender when you have only one worm left that cannot have access to crates while the opponent can get many crates. Without surrendering, next round the enemy would have enormous advantage from previous round, since the weapons collected are kept each new round.
Criticisms and Weaknesses
- Surrender can get in the way of the F12 menu, particularly when trying to access Select Worm, which can accidentally activate it.
- Pressing Surrender is actually not faster than quitting and reloading, which for the purposes of speedrunning Deathmatch and Missions is not only a useless act but a detrimental one too.
Tricks and glitches
- In some circumstances, the worm's idle animation may continue after the end of turn.
