Trick Race is a variation of Rope Race, but with steps to be done. These steps are Rope tricks that need to be done when appear the name of the trick on some part of the map. On many maps there are highlighted lines that indicate where the rope must be attached to start and end the trick. If the rope were not attached on the correct lines, the trick will not be considered valid. The winner will be the first player to do all the tricks and arrive at the finish of the race.

After a research made via messages on TUS (thanks for the information Fluffy, Nullum, DarkOne and Stratovarius), it was concluded that the author of Trick Race is Stratovarius with his map Stratospecial that was created as a special Rope Race map, and then over the time the scheme would become known as Trick Race.
