Talk:Translation project
From Worms Knowledge Base
Hello, I want to translate Articles to German. How it is possible? Would be great, to have the Worms Knowledge Base in more than one language.
And sorry for this, but I don't know where to ask. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fensterbank (talk • contribs)
- The problem with translations is that the WKB maintainers cannot guarantee the continued accuracy of the translated articles - as the original English articles continue evolving, the translations will become outdated unless someone continuously maintains them. Thus, the translations cannot be an authoritative source of information. If you have the possibility, I think it's best if you create your own website with translations of WKB articles. --Vladimir 00:52, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, this is a limitation of a wiki—whose articles changes too quickly to be maintained. AFAIK, even Wikimedia projects have a few outdated translations. However, this does not apply to documentations. Translated readmes can still be placed here. --Explorer09 15:04, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Wait! We may be able to put some translations here as long as we put the following message at the top of each translation:
This translation is of an old (outdated) revision (15068) of the article. It may not react to the new content added in the latest revision (22142—2012 Dec 26 18:43). |
- More messages can be added into the box when necessary. I plan to use this template to "disclaim" the translated stuff. How does everyone think? --Explorer09 13:31, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
this should be accurately updated --StepS 19:43, 26 December 2012 (CET)
