- IMHO, the category system in MediaWiki is more than just showing "parent articles". For example, I can make a dynamic list of pages quickly like the one in Community#People; people can also search something inside a category... etc.

- I still don't see how their benefits outweigh the visual clutter at the bottom of every page. I have nothing against __HIDDENCAT__ categories, though. --Vladimir 13:17, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
