Bad Taste
This debut feature-length movie by director Peter Jackson from 1987 was mostly filmed in Bloopy's home city of Porirua. It includes a scene where one of the good guys sprays a large tree with a submachine gun, and after a comical delay, dead baddies begin to fall out of the tree. The 'Uzi' cutscene from Worms closely resembles the scene, though with even more enemies falling from a smaller tree. The movie also has a scene where a sheep is hit by an RPG, so that could make two possible influences the movie had on Worms.
