One of WormsDC's many cheat codes, MUSIC, disables and enables the menu music, and whether the music is enabled or not is one of the variables that the game stores in Option Sets. If the music is playing when you select an option set that was saved when the music was disabled, the game won't stop the music when the landscape generator kicks in. This can cause some erratic game behaviour, such as music chords being played instead of the correct game audio.

To fix this, simply type the MUSIC cheat again. The message "MENU MUSIC ON" will appear and the music will continue to play. Typing MUSIC again will disable it. You can press Escape during the landscape generation screen when you notice that the music hasn't stopped to return to the main menu, allowing you to enter the cheat.
