Here is a list of unlockable cheats in Worms Armageddon. While these are called "cheats" by the game, a more accurate description of these would be "unlockable scheme options", as applying these does not give a particular player any advantage over another player. These options only enable a wider variety of gameplay configuration, unlike cheat codes in many other games.

After gold medals in Trainings

Training Cheat Unlocked
Basic Training Blood Mode
Super Sheep Racing Aqua Sheep
Rifle Range Shotgun Upgrade
Crazy Crates Sheep Heaven
Artillery Range Grenade Upgrade
Euthanasia / Advanced Weapons Training Longbow Upgrade

After missions (gold medal not required)

Mission Number Cheat Unlocked
4 Laser Sight
8 Jet Pack
13 Fast Walk
16 Invisibility
20 Low Gravity
25 Indestructible Terrain
33 Banana Upgrade

After reaching (but not necessarily beating) the Elite rank Deathmatch

You will unlock the God Mode option.

After you've unlocked every cheat mentioned above

You will unlock the Full Wormage scheme, as well as the ability to edit super weapons' settings and extended scheme options in the first-party scheme editor. Unlocking extended scheme editing was added in updates. The extended scheme options can then be accessed by clicking the star-shaped icon in the top-right corner of the usual game options button.

Shortcuts to unlocking The Full Wormage and extended scheme options

Via cheat code

You can type boggysentme in the main menu to unlock extended scheme options and the Full Wormage scheme. When entered correctly, the door unlocking sound effect that plays when disabling team weapons in the scheme editor will play. This code sets a DWORD value named LocalProgressOverride in the Windows registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Team17SoftwareLTD\WormsArmageddon\Options to 0x6ff8f617 (or decimal 1878586903), which overrides any progress your teams have made, so the extended scheme options will stay unlocked between sessions and if your team file is reset. This code can be typed again to disable this progress override.

Via team file editing

Using TeamED, you can take an alternative shortcut to unlocking everything listed in this article. To do so:

  1. Close Worms Armageddon if it's open.
  2. Install and run TeamED.
  3. Click "File" -> "Open Default W:A Team File".
  4. Click the "Cheat Settings (W:A Only)" button in the bottom-right.
  5. Enable "The Full Wormage" by clicking its checkbox. This will enable all other checkboxes.
  6. Click "OK".
  7. Click "File" -> "Save Current Team File".

At this point, everything listed in this article will be unlocked.

Disclaimer: These shortcuts are not intended to replace the single-player experience, which is still the recommended way to unlock these options. This information is included here because the information was available in this Worms Knowledge Base already, but unknown to some players. There were multiple reports online from players reacting to the release of the extended scheme options who reported that they were giving up on unlocking everything before attempting to do so. Those players seemed unaware that they could enjoy the extended scheme options without spending many hours unlocking it legitimately.

History of the shortcut cheat code

This and the timeline section below are work in progress. The history may not be correct and doesn't include dates, which are intended to be included. Also, the people who made discoveries and what they discovered may not be correct. If you know the history further and/or have corrections, please edit this section.

With the release of WA version 3.8 on 2020-07-16, the community WA development team revealed that a cheat code was implemented that unlocks all previous cheats and the extended scheme options, which were also implemented in version 3.8, but did not say what the cheat code was. How to enter the code in the main menu was also revealed.

It was also hinted that the code was obfuscated in the game's executable, so anyone trying to find it via reverse-engineering would need to spend more effort than a cursory look at the game in a hex editor. It was later discovered by those attempting to find the code via reverse-engineering that part of this obfuscation was a set of fake codes which made the splat sound when entered in the main menu, but did nothing else.

Some community members discovered the correct code early on, but did not share the code with other community members, opting to only share hints. Eventually, the correct code was revealed by the WA development team. The precise history of this is documented in the timeline section below.

Timeline

  • 2020-07-16: WA version 3.8 was released and the existence of the code was revealed by CyberShadow.
  • 2020-07-??: Cleroth discovered the correct code and all incorrect codes via reverse-engineering, and shared hints about the correct code with other community members, but did not share the correct code verbatim until its eventual reveal.
  • 2020-07-??: Tester7 also discovered the correct code (and all incorrect codes?) via reverse-engineering. Like Cleroth, Tester7 also opted to stay quiet.
  • 2020-??-??: cgar was able to discover the LocalProgressOverride registry DWORD and its correct value for essentially doing the same thing as having typed the code, and shared a .reg file which added the correct value to the registry, effectively circumventing the need to type the code.
  • 2020-08-07: StepS, a member of the WA development team, announced that the code would be revealed to the community when Sensei completes the single-player gameplay requirements for all the cheats live on his stream.
  • 2020-08-12: Sensei completed the single-player gameplay requirements for all the cheats live on his stream, and the code was subsequently revealed by Muzer, another member of the WA development team.
