The first three Beta updates (3.0.5.0 Beta 1-3) were written by Team17. All further updates (starting from 3.6.19.14 until now) were written by Deadcode.

Technical information
Installer
WA_Update-3.6.26.5_Beta.exe (and presumably some other versions) is a UPX-compressed self-extracting 7zip archive. To manually extract its contents, the UPX compression must first be removed, then the file must be extracted using 7zip tools.
