The URL
Hello, EviL.
You have changed the UIS clan URL from http://www.clanuis.net/ to http://clanuis.net/ . However, do you know that both URLs mean the same thing? http://www.(foo).com/ equals http://(foo).com/; the "www" word can be omitted. Changing between them doesn't make sense to me.
Unless you have special reasons, please don't make such edits. Thank you. --Explorer09 14:24, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
(By the way, I'm not going to revert your edits, because it does nothing but adding useless entries to the edit summary.) --Explorer09 15:07, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. Firstly, don't you think you're being a little harsh on someone who is editing the article for the clan they're head of? Secondly, your accusation is not entirely technically accurate. "www." can usually be omitted, but not necessarily - some old websites will not be accessible unless you type the "www". "www" is also deprecated - some websites, the WKB included, will redirect to the www-less version when appropriate. It is up to the webmaster to decide if their website will have a canonical address or (as is the case for most websites) be accessible through both with and without "www". --Vladimir 15:09, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't mean it. I should control my wording next time (to avoid misunderstanding). However in this case, the "www." can be omitted surely, is this correct? --Explorer09 15:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
