Chute flare

The Chute flare is, basically, a trick which involves rapid toggling the parachute on and off during a fall. It is usually done with the help of companion or macro programs, such as Silkworm or the Constipated Silkworm. This results in the illusion that the worm is falling, however without ever reaching the critical acceleration at which control is lost and the worm would receive fall damage.
