This is a list of known in-game tricks and glitches in the first generation of 2D Worms games.
Amiga versions
Tricks and Glitches
- Action Replays display different outcome
- Bazooka through wall
- Crashes on systems with 68010 CPU*
- Worms that hurt themselves with their first Shotgun round still get a second shot
- Dynamite retreat can be altered in Action Replay
- Kamikaze-ing into a landmine stops the worm from dying
- Loading maps saved with DeluxePaint "Stencil" feature active crashes the game
- Screen cutt-off on NTSC Amigas*
- Software Failure 8000 0020*
Bugs with an asterisk (*) next to them have been repaired in Worms using the unofficial freeware add-on WormsShell.
Worms only
- Control defaults to CD32 controller if cd.device is installed*
- Crashes if OS libraries missing*
- Crashes on systems using MultiUserFileSystem*
- Dynamite will not explode while retreating worm is jumping
- "Insert Disk" message on HD installed game*
Bugs with an asterisk (*) next to them have not been officially patched but have been repaired using the freeware add-on WormsShell.
WormsDC only
- Concrete Donkey can be deployed in Cavern levels
- Crashes during start-up on Amiga CD32
- Loading option sets whilst using BETONG ASNA or BOING cheat crashes the game
- MUSIC cheat glitch
- Using the Nuclear Bomb twice pushes the team health bars off the screen

- "Nowhere to worm!" error on maps with plenty of play space (emulation only)
