This trick is similar to Firing targeted weapons without aiming.
With many weapons that require the player to select a target using the mouse (air strikes and Teleport, specifically), the game will fire the weapon as soon as the user clicks the mouse - but only if the worm is standing on the ground. Thus, it's possible to select a target without actually firing the weapon by selecting the weapon and clicking on a target in mid-jump. The result is that when the worm lands, the target remains selected but the turn isn't over and worm is still free to move. The weapon can then be fired by pressing Space.
