The People page

Hello. When you add someone to the People list, would you please mention who you have added in the Edit Summary? Please don't write senseless words in the Edit Summary; thanks. Explorer09 12:01, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Aren't you being a little hypocritical? You don't enter an edit summary quite often as well. If you're not doing it unintentionally, you can enable the "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" option in your preferences. --Vladimir 12:18, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Me? Really? I'm sorry, but thank you for telling me that option. I'll be careful next time. Explorer09 12:24, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Sure, I can do that. It's just that 95% of the time when I edit that page, it's to add a single name that nobody who edits this wiki with any regularity will recognise, so I figured spending time on the summary wasn't going to mean much (especially since the diff link is right there next to every edit listed in the Recent changes). Apparently I was mistaken! As for Wikipedia's rules and guidelines, I'm a firm believer in there being too many of them even for the good of Wikipedia itself, much less for smaller, more focused wikis like the WKB.
