Mumble is an open source voice chat application, that lets you talk to players in realtime. It can also be used in a similar way to IRC.

Download Mumble

Set up the voice chat feature using the wizard, which appears first time, and can be accessed in Configure - Audio Wizard.

After installation, you can connect to the worms server here: mumble://worms2d.info/

If the link doesn't work, you can add the server to Mumble manually. In custom servers, add the following:

  • Label: Worms
  • Address: worms2d.info
  • Port: 64738
  • Username: (your nickname)
  • Password: (no password)
Enter a password of 8+ characters to register

Click Add, then Connect.

Skype, Ventrilo and Teamspeak have also been used, though more frequently with other online games.
